How to Use a Lymphatic Face Brush: The 60-Second Daily Routine

A step-by-step guide to depuffing, contouring and glowing skin with a lymphatic face brush — used by estheticians worldwide.

How to Use a Lymphatic Face Brush: The 60-Second Daily Routine

If your morning face looks puffier than your evening face, you're not imagining it. Overnight, lymphatic fluid pools around your eyes, jaw and neck. A lymphatic face brush takes 60 seconds to drain it — and the results are visible the same day.

What lymphatic drainage actually does

Your lymphatic system carries waste away from skin tissue. Unlike blood, it has no pump — it relies on movement. Gentle, directional brushing manually pushes the fluid toward drainage points behind your ears and collarbone. The result: less puffiness, sharper features, and a brighter complexion.

The 60-second routine

  1. Cleanse and apply oil. A few drops of facial oil or serum gives the brush slip so it glides instead of dragging.
  2. Start at the centre. Brush outward from your nose toward your ears in slow, firm strokes. 5 strokes per side.
  3. Jawline and chin. Brush from the centre of the chin up along the jawline toward the ears. 5 strokes per side.
  4. Forehead. Brush from the centre outward toward the temples. 5 strokes per side.
  5. Drain down the neck. This is the most important step. Brush down the sides of your neck toward the collarbone to flush everything out.

When to use it

Morning is best — it tackles overnight puffiness and preps your face for makeup. Some people also use it before bed to release tension from the day.

What to avoid

  • Don't press hard. Lymphatic vessels sit just under the skin — gentle pressure works better.
  • Don't brush upward on the neck. Always drain down.
  • Don't use on broken skin or active breakouts.

Pair this with the Glowiex Lymphatic Contour Face Brush and you'll see visible depuffing within the first week.
